Let’s face it. We all LOVE bright whites and full-bodied red wines, sparkling champagnes and floral Rosés, but  sometimes you just have to switch it up.

Luckily, Temecula Wine Country has several hidden gems for grabbing a tall, cold pint of craft beer to supplement your wine tasting experience.

Miramonte Winery
Established in 2001, Miramonte has quickly risen to a must visit destination for great live entertainment, gorgeous views and award-winning wines. Be sure to check out Flower Hill Bistro for mouth-watering Flatbreads, Salads and Charcuterie Boards.

And, while you’re swooning over the Stuffed Mushrooms or Caprese Flatbread, why not try one of their craft beers? With a handful of rotating taps and a nice selection of local and regional beers you’ll find yourself wanting to stick around for another (and another).

Avensole Winery
A relative new comer to the Temecula Valley, Avensole is just off Rancho California in the heart of Wine Country. Whether you’re tasting wines on the patio or sealing your vows, you’ll fall in love with Avensole’s sprawling garden space with amazing views and water features.

Once you’re done tasting, head up the hill to the Restaurant & Marketplace. Featuring live music Friday and Saturdays from 6-9pm,. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy a burger AND get a beer. With 6+ taps featuring a variety of local, San Diego and outside-the-area breweries, they’re bound to have something you’ll like.

Robert Renzoni Vineyards
Located on the De Portola Wine Trail, Robert Renzoni sits on 12 acres and boasts a towering tasting room and restaurant with 180 degree views. At Mama Rosa’s Trattoria you can grab an authentic Italian lunch or dinner straight from the brick oven.

But what’s more important is their craft beer tap list. The rotating taps feature local Temecula favorites Ironfire Brewing and Wiens Brewing. From outside the valley they feature Pizza Port Brewing, Firestone Walker Brewing and (gasp!) Russian River Brewing. As I write this, both Blind Pig and Pliny the Elder are on tap.

and, at the end of the day…

On your way out of town swing by Uncle Bob’s for some of the best burgers around, garlic parmesean sidewinder fries and of course a tall cold beer.
